Rising Country Duo Featured in Colt Ford’s New Song And Video “Dynamite”

On Heels of 17+ Million Streams of Their Own Single “What Guy Wouldn’t”

While Show Dog Nashville’s Waterloo Revival – Austin natives George Birge and Cody Cooper – are working on their own new music for release later this year, fans can see them now on CMT Music and GAC. The rising country duo are featured in Colt Ford’s sizzling hot video for his new song, “Dynamite,” that debuted on those two outlets this week. Available via PlayMPE, “Dynamite,” feat. Waterloo Revival, appears on Ford’s new album, “Love  Hope  Faith.”

The action-packed cinematic video, directed by Hideout Pictures’ Ed Pryor, transitions Ford from a country star to James Bond-type outlaw. Rare Country made note, “The song features Colt and up-and-comers Waterloo Revival singing about a girl so different, beautiful and feisty she blows your mind and your heart, just like dynamite…The video for the single is even hotter. In fact, it’s positively cinematic: fast, expensive cars, fight scenes and shady deals with lots of cash in a briefcase make this video feel more like a mini-mob movie!”

Of making the video and performing on the song, Birge said, “Colt Ford is one of the most genuine guys we’ve had the chance to meet. We’ve been fans for a while and last year he actually reached out on Instagram asking us to be a part of this song. Saying yes was a no brainer and after working with him it’s easy to see why he has such a dedicated fan base. We had a lot of fun making this video, who doesn’t want to play James Bond? We are fired up about how everything turned out and can’t wait for the world to see it.”

Waterloo Revival launched into the new year with their single “What Guy Wouldn’t” gaining huge streaming growth, exceeding 17 million streams at this point.

Critical praise for the track has rolled in. “Make no mistake that the breezy, light-hearted ‘What Guy Wouldn’t’ song will get stuck in your head even after just one listen, but we promise it’s a good thing. The duo has been making a name for themselves in Nashville and seem to have a host of momentum behind them – and there’s a reason for that. They easily fit into the modern landscape of the genre with their infectious pop-country melodies, but have a slight edge that makes them stand out and promises staying power. …when they break through on country radio, they’ll be unstoppable. ‘What Guy Wouldn’t’ might be the song,” Taste of Country expounded, while All Music directly stated, “it was their catchy 2017 single, ‘What Guy Wouldn’t,’ that helped them break through.”

Waterloo Revival spent most of 2017 opening for Toby Keith as they readied the release of “What Guy Wouldn’t.” Written by David Lee Murphy (“Dust On The Bottle,” “Big Green Tractor”) and John King (Randy Houser’s “We Went”), the song was produced by Jason Massey (co-producer for Kelsea Ballerini) and Ken Tondre.

The guys are currently back in the studio working on new music, so be on the lookout for Waterloo Revival’s original tracks coming soon.
