Country Star Robby Johnson’s “Together” Added to CMT Music
The Single Is the 8th Most Added On the Music Row Chart
New Music Video Already At More Than 2 Million Views
(Nashville, TN) Country music star Robby Johnson gets an early Christmas present as CMT Music adds his emotional new video for the moving ballad, “Together,” to rotation this week.
The singer/songwriter and the country music network have a long history together as Johnson’s first single/video, “South of Me,” spent seven weeks at #1 on CMT’s Pure 12-Pack Countdown.
“It is wonderful to see my music on CMT – such a staple of our industry. It’s always like that feeling when you’re a kid of waking up on Christmas morning and seeing all the gifts under the tree. It never gets old, and now my son gets to experience it too,” says Johnson.
Johnson’s 8-year-old son is featured in the video. “This song and video is especially important to me at this time a year as it’s about the importance of being together as a family. Having my son in the video makes it extra special. My son and I have lots of things in common. Like me, he loves Elvis and Michael Jackson, and he dreams of playing Superman in a movie. He did an amazing job, and I hope Hollywood is watching!” says Johnson.
“Together,” written by chart-topping country performer Chris Young, Frank Myers, and Anthony Smith, is from Johnson’s latest album Don’t Look Back, which was produced by James Stroud (Tim McGraw, Shelby Lynne, Chris Young). The song was also the 8th Most Added Country song on the Music Row Chart last week, while views of the music video have climbed to 2 million and counting.
Sony Music recently released an expanded version of the album, Don’t Look Back (Deluxe Edition), featuring three bonus tracks – “Ring, Ring, Ring,” “I Got Your Back,” and his breakout smoldering single and music video, “South Of Me.” Fans are treated to more extras if they purchase the deluxe edition before the end of this year, they will be gifted with two Christmas songs Johnson recorded – the John Lennon/Yoko Ono classic “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” and a childhood favorite, “Rudolph, The Red Nosed Reindeer,” written by Johnny Marks.
Meanwhile, Johnson is in the midst of an international promo tour for “Together” and Don’t Look Back (Deluxe Edition). He recently appeared on CITY TV Breakfast Television, Toronto/s No. 1 morning show, the nationally syndicated Global News Morning, and CBC Music.
