(MELBOURNE, Au.) International superstar Toby Keith wrapped his standing-room-only Hammer Down Under Tour supported by the Eli Young Band and Kellie Pickler on Wednesday (March 19) in Melbourne, Australia concluding a run that had fans and national media cheering his every move.

Beyond the sold-out shows and tens of thousands of screaming fans, outlets including the Today Show and the Ray Hadley Show were celebrating Keith as “country music royalty” and the “king of country.” Watch the Today appearance here, and hear the Hadley interview here.

Upon his return to the United States, Toby can look forward to a high-profile, nationally televised appearance on the 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, airing live from Las Vegas April 6 on CBS. Toby is a two-time ACM Entertainer of the Year.

In May, Keith launches his Shut Up And Hold On Tour Presented by Ford F-Series, at the Tree Town Music Festival in Forest City, Iowa (May 25). Supporting on the tour are genre-busting country rapper Colt Ford (on select dates), as well as Toby’s daughter, Krystal Keith.

Toby Keith’s busy spring follows a successful 2013 that saw him reach the cover of Forbes as “Country Music’s $500 Million Man.” His Hammer Down Tour Presented by Ford F-Series is one of live music’s top draws, and his Drinks After Work album was a top-seller in standard, deluxe and Walmart-exclusive ‘Zinepak versions.
