Waterloo Revival’s “What Guy Wouldn’t” Climbs Charts

New Single Takes Off With 12 Million Streams And Counting; Tour Rolls On

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) Show Dog Nashville’s Waterloo Revival – Austin natives Cody Cooper and George Birge – are getting in the holiday spirit … and so are music fans. Their new single “What Guy Wouldn’t” is trending up by all measures, even as the duo release new Christmas music.

At radio “What Guy Wouldn’t” is already in the top 40 on the Music Row chart (32). And the single’s streaming growth has been huge, exceeding 12 million streams at this point.

Looking back on the year, Birge notes, “2017 was incredible for us. Between releasing our new single and touring the country we felt like we were able to get closer to our fans more than ever before. We have been blown away by their support propelling our first song to ever break more than 12 million streams. This year has been really special for us personally as well, welcoming a new baby George James and celebrating Cody and Emily’s marriage in our hometown of Austin, Texas. We want to thank all of our fans – or as we call them ‘Revivers’ – for an amazing year and wish them an amazing holiday season. Keep your eyes open for new music in 2018, we’ve been working like crazy and can’t wait to share what we have in store!”

Critical praise has also been rolling in throughout the year. “Make no mistake that the breezy, light-hearted ‘What Guy Wouldn’t’ song will get stuck in your head even after just one listen, but we promise it’s a good thing. The duo has been making a name for themselves in Nashville and seem to have a host of momentum behind them – and there’s a reason for that. They easily fit into the modern landscape of the genre with their infectious pop-country melodies, but have a slight edge that makes them stand out and promises staying power. …when they break through on country radio, they’ll be unstoppable. ‘What Guy Wouldn’t’ might be the song,” Taste of Country expounded, while All Music directly stated, “it was their catchy 2017 single, ‘What Guy Wouldn’t,’ that helped them break through.”
