(NORMAN, Okla.) As country music’s biggest artists celebrate Toby Keith’s music, life and legacy on NBC, newly remastered and collected versions of his iconic hits and holiday tunes are being readied for release. First up, Toby Keith: American Icon, airing 9-11pm ET/PT this Wednesday, Aug. 28 on NBC and available the next day on Peacock. Five weeks later – October 4 – the newly compiled 13 Number Ones and remastered and expanded Christmas to Christmas will be available – the former on CD and vinyl, and the latter on CD, digital providers and vinyl, for the first time.

This Wednesday, the star-studded Toby Keith: An American Icon features Luke Bryan, Tyler Hubbard, Jelly Roll, Parker McCollum, Darius Rucker, Carrie Underwood, Lainey Wilson and more performing Keith’s biggest hits before a sold-out crowd at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Performances and special guest appearances also include Trace Adkins, Priscilla Block, Eric Church, Jordan Davis, Scotty Emerick, Brett Favre, Brantley Gilbert, Riley Green, HARDY, Jamey Johnson, Ella Langley, Leanne Morgan, Mac McAnally, Ashley McBryde and Clay Walker. One of the highlights from the event was a very special appearance by Keith’s daughter, Krystal Keith, who moved the crowd with her powerful performance.

As NBC producers found out, compiling Keith’s biggest hits in a two-hour special is an almost impossible task. And so it is with 13 Number Ones, a new hits collection focused on (only some) of his most iconic songs released between 1993 and 2005. All were concert setlist staples, and almost all were performed during the Toby Keith: American Icon celebration. The collection will be available October 4 in CD and vinyl formats. Color vinyl variants will be available through Walmart (red, white and blue splatter vinyl) with limited edition red and clear marbled vinyl exclusively available via the Toby Keith and UMG Nashville web stores.

Also out October 4 is Keith’s first holiday album, Christmas to Christmas. The album was originally released in 1995 and is now remastered for all formats including, for the first time, vinyl, specifically transparent green vinyl. Keith has writer credits on four songs, among them the solo-penned “Hot Rod Sleigh.” Avoiding the traditional classics, the collection reflects the breadth of Keith’s artistry, wit, poignancy and charm. The vinyl version includes the bonus track of Roger Miller’s “Old Toy Trains,” recorded by Keith in 2000 and previously available only on a long out-of-print compilation.

About Toby Keith: The familiar maxim of the triple threat – singer, songwriter, entertainer – didn’t begin to cover it for Toby Keith, one of the most prolific self-directed creative forces in country’s modern era. Keith amassed 42 top 10 hits, 33 No. 1s, more than 44 million albums sold, 100 million BMI performances, and more than 10 billion streams largely on the strength of his own songwriting and producing, and under the banner of his own Show Dog Nashville record label. Among his many accomplishments, the New York based all-genre Songwriters Hall of Fame (2015), the National Medal of Arts (2021), the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame (2021), and BMI Icon (2022) were his most treasured. He was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame shortly before his passing in Feb. 2024.
