Toby Keith’s Country Music Hall of Fame
Induction is Sunday
New RIAA Certs Include Four Platinum, Two Gold Titles
How Do You Like Me Now?! Turns 25

One of the most honored entertainers of his era, Toby Keith notches another milestone on Sunday (October 20) with his posthumous induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame. As family, friends and colleagues prepare to celebrate, Keith’s music remains as commercially viable as ever, as evidenced by six new RIAA certifications – including several in the multi-platinum category.
Keith – who was elected to the Hall prior to his passing – will be inducted at Sunday’s Medallion Ceremony at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The evening will include the unveiling of Keith’s Hall of Fame plaque prior to its placement in the Rotunda alongside everyone from Hank Williams and Mother Maybelle Carter to Keith’s fellow 2024 inductees John Anderson and James Burton.
Contributing mightily to that Hall of Fame career was How Do You Like Me Now?!, which hits the 25th anniversary of its release November 2. Marking the start of the second phase of Keith’s artistry, the album was released as he transitioned to DreamWorks Records and staked his claim as an arena-headlining superstar. The third and final phase, of course, was the launch of his own record label, celebrated next week with the anniversary of the October 25 release of Greatest Hits: The Show Dog Years. Originally offered five years ago, the collection is being made available in Dolby Atmos immersive sound on all music services for the first time.
In August, the star-studded televised concert-event that paid honor to his whole career and life was viewed-by-millions on the NBC special Toby Keith: American Icon. The network’s most-watched special of the year, it was filmed in a sold-out Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and featured performances and personal remembrances from many of country music’s biggest names. Perhaps “the night’s most affecting performance” (Country Now) came from Krystal Keith, Toby’s daughter and fellow Show Dog recording artist, with “Don’t Let The Old Man In.” People noted that Krystal “soars through the [song’s] poignant life lessons.” Stream Toby Keith: American Icon on-demand via Peacock.

Meanwhile, titles from across his 30-year career have continued to cross sales marks, as noted through another batch of RIAA certified gold and platinum designations. These include:
· “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” – 4x Platinum
· “Beer For My Horses” – 3x Platinum
· “I Love This Bar” – 3x Platinum
· “American Ride” – Platinum
· “Who’s Your Daddy?” – Gold
· Bullets in the Gun (album) – Gold
Beyond music, the high-quality, USA-sourced Toby Keith’s Premium food brand continues to draw customers and its Big Daddy Cups are already a best-seller. Check out the Smash Burgers, Blue Catfish, Premium Getcha Sum Sauces and more at www.tobykeithpremium.com.

About Toby Keith & Show Dog Nashville
Bursting on to the country music scene with his solo-penned first single “Should’ve Been A Cowboy,” Toby Keith began stacking hits through a succession of label permutations, all of which built to the Sept. 1, 2005 launch of his own label. Keith released 14 albums during that final phase of his career, cementing his place as one of the most prolific self-directed creative forces in country’s modern era. All in, Keith amassed 42 top 10 hits, 33 No. 1s, more than 44 million albums sold, 100 million BMI performances, and more than 10 billion streams largely on the strength of his own songwriting and producing. He was elected into the Country Music Hall of Fame shortly before his passing in February. Among his many accomplishments, the New York based all-genre Songwriters Hall of Fame (2015), the National Medal of Arts (2021), the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame (2021), and BMI Icon (2022) were his most treasured.
