Reaches a Chart Landmark

(NORMAN, Okla.) The 22nd Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic raised more than $1.35 million June 12-13 at Riverwind Casino and Keith’s Belmar Golf Club. Themed to celebrate 250 years of American independence, the event was headlined by country hitmaker Trace Adkins, with celebrated radio and TV personality Shawn Parr and business leader/philanthropist Jim West hosting and leading the live auction. As always, the Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic benefits The Toby Keith Foundation’s work supporting OK Kids Korral.

The golf tournament winners were the Award Dealer Services team (morning group) and the Eskridge Honda team (afternoon). The winner of the $10,000 closest-to-the-pin shootout was Lucas Gibson. At the prior night’s dinner, Trace Adkins performed a 75-minute set after the live auction. The evening also included a donation from Eskridge Auto Group and Lexus, who held a month-long fundraiser collecting $100 for every car sold resulting in the group presenting a checks totaling $47,800. The legacy and success of Keith also continues with his music. Two weeks prior to the Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic, a new three-LP version of 35 Biggest Hits was released. Originally issued as a two-CD set in 2008, the compilation’s vinyl release debuted in the Top 15 of Billboard all-genre Top 200 chart. The RIAA platinum certified collection has spent a total of 250 weeks on the Top 200 including five weeks in the Top 10, which is a chart landmark for the late superstar, singer songwriter.

Featured tracks on 35 Biggest Hits include the recently certified 5x-platinum “Courtesy Of The Red, White And Blue (The Angry American),” which peaked at No. 25 on the all-genre Hot 100, and “Who’s Your Daddy?” which peaked at No. 22. Both were multi-week No. 1s on the major country airplay charts. The collection opens with his debut smash “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” (1993) and runs through the 2006 chart-topper “A Little Too Late.” Also among the 34 signature hits are “How Do You Like Me Now?!,” “I Love This Bar” and “As Good As I Once Was,” punctuated by the addition of then-new release “She’s A Hottie.”

About The Toby Keith Foundation

In 2024, The Toby Keith Foundation celebrated the 10-year anniversary of the opening of OK Kids Korral – a cost-free home for families with children receiving medical care. Marking the milestone, the Foundation bestowed $10,000 in grants to 10 local children’s charities. Last year’s 20th Anniversary Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic brought in $3.1 million for a to-date total of $20 million raised. With a new endowment established, Keith’s family pledged continued commitment to the foundation’s good works. In his final interview, Toby Keith told a local reporter that OK Kids Korral “is my best gift I’ve ever given to the world.”
